  • I acknowledge that I live, work, and gather on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional lands of many First Nations, including the Nehiyawak/Cree, Tsuut’ina, Niitsitapi/Blackfoot, Otipemisiwak/Métis, Nakota Sioux, Haudenosaunee/Iroquois, Déné, Anishinaabe/Ojibway/Saulteaux, Inuit, and many others. This land is also part of the Métis Nation of Alberta Region 4 and has been a place of gathering, healing, and community for thousands of years. I recognize the ongoing presence and contributions of Indigenous peoples to this land and commit to walking alongside them in the spirit of truth, reconciliation, and solidarity. As settlers, immigrants, and displaced peoples, we reflect on our responsibilities to uphold Indigenous sovereignty and honour the histories and futures of the peoples whose land we reside on.
