Storytelling Quebec
Unsinkable Québec is looking for bold and unique voices to speak about their journey and vision in mental health.
Each voice is a precious source of support and strength for others.
We want to encourage and facilitate individuals to become part of a movement that encourages dialogue, understanding and solidarity.
Why become a storyteller in Quebec ?
✔ Have you experienced or are you still experiencing mental health challenges?
✔ Do you want to share your story in a caring space to raise awareness and help others?
This project is your chance to make your voice heard and contribute to a free, non-judgmental dialogue with our one-on-one facilitator.
A project that puts individuals first
These stories are published on www.weareunsinkable.com and our various social media platforms. They provide a diverse range of lived experiences that can help others struggling to feel less alone. Storytelling is the cornerstone of Unsinkable and often the starting point for Unsinkable Community Champions.
Field Engagement Program
The Field Engagement Program allows Unsinkable to source different types of individuals and/or communities who are often more marginalized.
We aim to change our view of storytelling as an individual testimony of one’s mental health journey, but rather a group’s reality or history. In this sense, we seek out storytelling partnerships with both local organizations and communities, such as Indigenous groups, youth organizations, immigrant associations, veterans, health workers, LGBTQ+ groups, etc.
The goal is to share their perspectives through their lived experiences of struggle and recovery, while creating the opportunity for our audience and storytellers to discover each other, bolstering community connections.
We can provide a powerful tool by giving communities the space to share their stories, through their lens, in their spaces. But we will never reach all kinds of people if we are not actively in the field, connecting with storytellers in their communities.
Community engagement
Mental health is everyone's business.
Yet some voices remain too often in the shadows.
Unsinkable Québec is looking for testimonials from the communities most affected by mental health issues:
✔ Youth
✔ Immigrants
✔ LGBTQ+ people
✔ Members of Indigenous communities
✔ Veterans
✔ Health workers
✔ Women
✔ Seniors
Thus, field engagement is a necessary next step in expanding the reach and impact of storytelling at Unsinkable.
Unique voices
Unsinkable Quebec : 8 stories of hope
A powerful chapter in our journey.
As part of our ongoing commitment to mental health in Quebec, we explored the vital work of eight local organizations making a difference in their communities. Through the voices of eight individuals, we shed light on the impact of these organizations and shared messages of resilience, connection, and hope.
This initiative continues to inspire and strengthen our understanding of the mental health landscape in Quebec — a testament to the power of lived experience and collective support.

Unsinkable Quebec's First Youth Workshop | Atelier jeunesse avec Unsinkable Québec
Art has the power to open conversations where words alone often fall short.
In the context of youth mental health, creative expression can become a lifeline — a way to process emotions, tell one’s story, and feel seen without fear or judgment.
In April 2025, Unsinkable Québec, in partnership with Le Collectif Nous, proudly hosted its very first field engagement youth workshop in Montréal. This workshop was built on a simple yet powerful belief: when young people are given safe and creative spaces to express themselves, art can become a tool for healing, resilience, and connection.
Through storytelling and artistic expression, participants were invited to explore their mental health journeys in ways that felt authentic to them. Art allowed emotions to surface gently, stories to take shape, and identities to be honored. For many young people, creating is not just an activity — it is a language, a refuge, and a way to reclaim their voice.
We are deeply grateful to Astrid, Jasmine, and Sami for trusting this space and sharing their stories with courage and honesty. Their journeys remind us why this work matters: when youth feel seen and heard, they don’t just heal individually — they inspire change that ripples outward into their communities.
This workshop marked an important step in Unsinkable Québec’s journey. And it is only the beginning. 🌍
We remain committed to creating inclusive, creative spaces where young people can feel safe, supported, and empowered to speak their truth — through art, through story, and through connection.
