Limitations and alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Unsinkable , there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
Known limitations for Unsinkable:
Older content: Some previously published pages and stories may contain text with colour contrast that does not fully meet accessibility standards, making it harder to read for some users, including those with low vision or colour blindness. because hese stories were published before our current accessibility standards were adopted. Because each story requires manual review and updating, older content has not yet been brought into full compliance.. All new stories published going forward will comply with accessible colour contrast standards. We are also working through our archive of older stories to manually update contrast issues where they exist, though this is an ongoing process.. If you encounter a story that is difficult to read due to colour contrast, please contact us and let us know which page it's on — we'll prioritize fixing it. Most browsers also allow you to adjust contrast, colours, or use a reader mode (e.g., via browser extensions or accessibility settings) if you need to view content differently in the meantime.
Assessment approach
Unsinkable Ltd assessed the accessibility of Unsinkable by the following approaches:
External evaluation
We used a contrast checker tool (colourscontrast.cc) to test our colour combinations. This uses the universally accepted Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards to determine whether the colour combination is accessible.
